Flying overnight has the advantage of seeing the sky turn pretty colors. We were right over the wing of our plane, which made for a gorgeous sunrise photo opportunity.
We also watched an informative safety video about driving in Iceland, which was hosted by a heavy metal elf. I kept thinking of Elizabeth Hand‘s book, Available Dark.
We also discovered a travel series called Scent of a City wherein an Icelandic woman tours different cities. In Glasgow, she gets fitted for a kilt.
She then parades around the streets with a supermodel attitude.
But eventually she decides she needs to change.
In Boston, she goes to visit our friends at the Ig Nobel awards and talks to Mark Abrahams! This means we’re one degree away from being on Icelandic TV! We’re practically famous!
